A HORRIBLE EXECUTION.
New York, February 18,
At Calgary, Alberta, an extraordinary incident followed the execution of Jasper Oollins, a youth, sentenced to death for murdering a farmer named J. Benson. Collins was found uu conscious in his cell. Before the execution he revived sufficiently, and was carried to the scaffold. The drop fell, and the executioner took down the body before death occurred. Shock ed prison officials were preparing to hang him again, when death supervened.
