Melbourne, February 12, Speaking at the Viotorian League recep tion, Earl Grey said people in England had a very good opinion of Australia, but it was very evident that Australians thought them selves the best people in the world, Perhaps when they had learnt more they might lay claim to that distinction, but the time was not now.
