Peninsula sales were— E. Hay (Pigeon Bay) 180 ewea at 17s 41 to 22a 4d; Parkinson and Quaife.(Ataahua), 53 ewes at 13s to 16s Id. Tbe yarding of fa' cattle was a comparatively small one, totalling 187 head. The curreut value of beef was 20s to 335, extra to 34a per 1001b. Steers £8 5i to £11, extra to £14 153, h-ifers £6 to £10 12s Cd, cows £6 to £9 10s. The sales included the following lines-For A. J. Birdling (Balewoll), 9 steers at £11 to £14; J. O. Coop (Little River), G steers at £IB lOa to £14 15s. There wa3 nn average entry of fat calves, prices ranging from 8* to £2 17a Gd. Stores were entered in fair numbers. The range of prices was ■—Yearlings £l 15s to £2 Is, fifteen to eighteen months £2 15s to £4, two year steers £5 17a 6J, good two year heifers £4 15s, three year steers £7 15s, tbreyear beifers £4 17s 6d, dry cowa 303 to £6. Only a small number of of driry cows were penned, and representative prices ranged from£S 10s to £11 ss, There was an average entry ol fat piRB. Choppers £3 to £4 s*, henvy baconers 60s to 70s, 'lighter 50a to 57j 6d, these prices being equal to 5d to 5Jd per lb. Heavy porkers 42s to 47a 6d, lighter 36s 403, equivalent |O 6£d per lb.
