The three occupants of the dinghy were thrown into the. water. A Maori was pulled aboard the launch, and a second man was helped aboard. The third man was fully clothed, and he was carried away by the current. One of the fishermen jumped from the launch with a life buoy. He found that the man had disappeared. He then took off 'his life buoy, and, by diving, re covered the man, who was got aboard the; launch unconscious, Life was finally restored by persistent methods in artificial respiration.
