DROUGHT IN THE NORTH.
SCAKSITY OF WATER AT
Patea, January 22,
The scarcity of water, owing to the drought, is being acutely felt in some parts, and already at Patea large num bers of residents are engaged in the water carrying business. Unless rain comes soon the position of many country folk who are dependant upon tank water for domestic purposes will be very serious.
