DUTCH STEAMER ASHORE.
Brisbane, December 29
The Dutch mail steamer Tasman, outward bound to Java, went ashore at Bramble Cay, a small rocky island in the Gulf of Papua, near the entrance to the Torres Straits', and upon which there is a beacon. The Tasman has four feet of water in her holds. Steamers have been despatched to her assistance. The passengers aboard include two of the United States Panama Exhibition Commissioners and Madame Nordic*
