There was a good attendance a'" both 8 and 11 o'clock services on 'ImasDay The Vicar, Rfv A. H. Julius, conducted both, assisted by Yen. Archda icon Stocker. CAROL SERVICE.

On Sunday evening the choir choir sang carols in place of the ordinary sermon. The singing was good though tbe absence of male voices prevents the full choral effect. 1 here were twelve ladies in the choir and only three men. CHRISTMAS SERVICES.

It Beetna unfortunate that more rmn's voices could not be obtained for theoboir, and there should be some men in Akaroa willing to come for Ward to help in this direct-on. The ladies are mo?t painstaking and sing excellently, but, they cannnt. of course, give the proper choral effect without the help of more men.
