PIGEON BAY ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the above Biard was held on Saturday, Ctb December, 1913; present—Messrs E. Bay (chairman), J. Duxbury and D. Hunt.
The minutes of Ihe prior meeting were read and confirmed.
Correspondence was read— From Messrs Beswick and Ban is rr Board's liability for payment of Labour Day, advising that Board not liable. From Knudsen's trustees, asking if the Board could do anything in the matter of getting a totara tree tbat their father had made an agreement about with a previous Board,
From Me'ssrß Corrigall Bros,, offering to spall and heap metal on Crane's reserve for 2a 61 per yard. From Mr T. MoHale, asking that immediate step,"* be taken to complete bridge in Holmes' Bay leading to their property, stating that bridge bad now been down about ft month,
The chairman stated that the work was proceeding as fas' as possible. From Messrs R. A. Mould, daw, Waghorn, G. G. Holmes and 11. Blomgvist, asking Board to have Run road formed from end of present formation to the boutdary of the Pigeon Bay District. From the Government Acoident Insuranca re insurance of Boar'-'s employees. Resolved that application of Messrs Mould and others be left over till surveyor defined road line, when the application would bs favourably considered. Resolved that ihe cler> wrlt« Mr G, G Holm 8 re tree t>>at Knud-en'a trusties were enquiring ai:out. Tho clerk was directed to enquire from the ohairmin of tha Akaroa County Council re btona on Crane's reserve,
The foreman reported that two days' work had been put in by Board's men on Purau traok. Part of the month had been put in repairing the Main and Holmes' Bay road. They were now engaged erecting new bridge in Holmes' Bay. On the motion of Mr Duxbury, seconded by Mr Hunt, the following accounts were passed for payment: -T, Quaid, £6 18s; W. Scott, £5 14s ;J. Anderson, £5 3s; Menzies' Bay, £5 19s; F. J. Clark, £G 8i; W. Innes, £7 10n; 0. Sutheiiand, £3 13s; A. Corrigall, £2.
Tbo Board then adjourned till Saturday, 3rd January, 1914.
