IE BON'S BAY ROAD BOARD.
♦• The usual monthly meeting was held on Saturday. Present. Messrs A. F. Leonardo (in the chair), J. Petersen, A, A. Macphail, and \V. G, Dalglish. The previous minutes were read and confirmed, On tho motion of the chairman, seconded by Mr Macphail, a vote of sympahy was passed to the widow and family of the late Mr Geo. Laurenson. Correspondence was read— From Messrs Meares and Williams re delay in the road exchange in R.S. 540. stating that the required signature would not be available for some time. The letter wa3 received. From Mr L E. lammond re work for the Board, It was decided to interview Mr Hammond on the matter. From Mr T. Barker, asking that scrub overhanging parts of Panama road be cut away. It was resolved to have the matter attended to. * From the Treasury re ioterest on wharf loan.— Received, From Mr A. J. Cairns, cartifying account for metal as correct. The clerk stated he had forwarded the cheque. From Government Insurance Department, asking for the Board's decision as to insuring in that office, The meeting decided to let the policy stand in the present company, The members who had visited the wharf .stated that the work wan almost finished when the strike pre vented the necessary ironwork being carried. The clerk was instructed to euquiro into the state of matters, and get the men back as soon as the ordinary steamer-running was resumed. Mr T. Barker brought under the notice of the Board the state of Dawber's road It was resolved to try to get it attended to immediately. Mr F, Alridge asked that some slight repairs be made on his road leading to the Valley road. —Granted. Repairs on Back Road were left to Mr J. Petersen. The usual accounts were passed for payment on the motion of Mr Petersen, seconded by Mr Macphail, and tho meeting adjourned.
