-♦ • A meeting of this Conncil was hold on Saturday ; present—Messrs J. D. Bruce E. Hay, 0. B. Tbacker, J. It Thacker, F. Williama and J. New begin, The clerk preeided, and asked for nominations ior the chair. Mr Hay nominated Mr Bruce, and jailed attention to the goo'l work done by Mr Bruce in the past. Mr C. B. Thacker seconded the motion, Baying Mr Bruce had worked well foe the County. The motion waa carried unani mously, and Mr Bruce took bis seat. The chairman said it was about time b9 gave up the chair, and some other man took it on. Hβ was will ing to do all he could for the County. Hβ added that, though he had never made any enemies in his private business, he made some in big local government business, However, jjhe would always do what he thoughts right. Hβ thanked members on 3 and | • all for the hearty support they had always given him. BALANCE SHEET. The balance sheet was considered by members and formally adopted. The meeting then terminated,
