A RECORD ENTRY OF HORSES
The entries for the Peninsula Horse Sqow and Pastoral Association's Show are a record, and number 162, as compared with 188 last year. The enlarged entry is very gratifying, aa it shows increased interest in the g-how, and it "is a good start for ihe new Association.
It is hoped tbat the present rough weather will be a thing of the past on Thursday next, and the Show Ooni' tnitfcee will be favoured with fine weather for the fine exhibition of horsea. The total for 1911 was 120.
The Ground Committee have ar rangements well in hand for the Show on Thursday, and there should be a good attendance. The presence of » band from Christehurch should enhance the pleasure of the day's enjoyment, Messrs B. W. Henmng and U Pool will nin launches from Akaroa to Duvauchelle at 10 a.m. and \ P ra> » leaving both wharves. Mr Pricbard'fl paddock, where the show ip to be held, ia in a better condition this year than usual, as the graaa Iβ well grown and the turf good,
