GAMES ADDED TO PRO GRAMME.

A meeting called by Mr G. Arm atroag, commodore of tha Akaroo Regatta, waß held at the Akaroa Borough Council Chambers on Tues day, Mr G. Armstrong presiding The following wore present:—Messrs J 8. Dodda, J. R. Newton, C. W. Leeto. T. Penlington, A. R, Munro, W. Jacobson, Rev. J. W. Hayward and Rev. A. H. Julius. The chairman stated that it had been thought at the Akaroa Regatta meeting that the Bcope of the Regatta might be enlarged so as to include games of bowls, cricket and tennia Hβ aaid the attendance of the Regatta waa diminishing each year, as many who used to attend took no interest in the rowing and siiiing races, and it WAS thought if these games were held ifc would mean a very much larger attendance of bays people and Christohuroh visitors. The Hegatta Cow mittee intended to arrange with the Union Company to obtain the services of a branch for Regatta Day. He thought it vould be to the advantage 1 of Akaroa to extend the scope of the Regatta. Mr Aimslrong added tie hdios were willing to provide afternoon tea for those taking part in the
