SHOT THROUGH A WINDOW.
London, October 19
Alexander Maclaren, a farmer living in a lonely house at Portencross, has I reported that while he and his family were reading by lamplight, six shots were fired through a window. His sister in law was killed and his wife wounded, while he himself was wounded in the hand. The police found the sister in-law with three bullet wounds in her side, and the wife with two.
