Wellington, Aug. 29

Several seamen of H.M.S. Archer were coming ashore in a ship's boat at seven o'clock this morning, so take off last night's liberty men. A stiff northerly wind was blowing, and when within fifty years of the shore, the boat capsized, filled and sank. The men were twenty minutes in the water before help arrived from the warship, and then two of the men were missing, T. Niblett and Fred Simpkin. Two of the others were unconscious and had to be rastored by artificial means. The party was taken back to the ship,

Excitement has been caused in the religious world by Bishop Goe inhibiting the Rev. D. M. Berry, the wellknown Anti-Ritualietic agitator, from preaching in the Wesleyan Church.
