A. meeting '>f the Central A. .md P. \ssociation was held at Op". lir On Tnursday last, about 15 members be in '4 present M ■ David son (president) occu ne":l the chair. The minutes ">f the previous meet ing were read a id confirmed Mr John Wilson kindly offered to supply sh.jep for the guessing competition. Resolved -That the usual dance on show nighr.be not held this year, as the hall was asked for a benefit to Mr John Eagle. . It was agreed that bagpipe players be engaged from Alexandra. It was decided to place the following additional events on the programme : Stockman's race round 4 barrels ; prize 20s, entrance 2s. Stepping competition ; prize los, entrance is. Medley race (pony), 14 hands and under, to be ridden by boys or girls -Walk, trot, and gallop ; prize 10s, entrance is. The following office-bearers were appointed : -Stewards, Messrs J, H. Wilson, G. Harvey, W. Laidlaw, J. Clouston, J. Charles ; grounds committee, Messrs W. Laidlaw, John Wilson, G. Harvey, R. Wilson and R. Rutherford. The secretary was instructed to arrange for a phonograph for #how day.
