The shield won this year by the Alexandra School football team in the recent tournament has, during the past few days, been on view in one of the local windows, and has , been the subject of general admiration. Everything in connection with the range is now completed, and as soon as it has been inspected by the department shoot ing will commence. The local school committee has decided to purchase a piano for the school. The committee has voted £2O for the purpose, and it is proposed td hold a sale of work in December to raise the balance, the staff undertaking the arrangements. Mr T Milne, B.A, will act as assistant in the Presbyterian Church during the summer months. He takes up his duties on 24th prox.— Crowded out last issue.
