The shield won this year by the Alexandra School football team in the recent tournament has, during the past few days, been on view in one of the local windows, and has , been the subject of general admiration. Two small mishaps occurred during the performance, otherwise it passed off successfully. The members of the Defence Rifle Club held a church parade last Sunday, attending the Presbyterian Church. Everything in connection with the range is now completed, and as soon as it has been inspected by the department shoot ing will commence. The local school committee has decided to purchase a piano for the school.
