LACK OF RAIN
POWER CUTS IN MADRID MADRID. Spain’s hydro-electric plants have slowed down to 7 per cent, of possible output through lack of rain and Madrid gets electricity only for 58 hours each week. Industry is badly affected except where costly auxiliary plants are operated. Unlees rain comes soon further cuts are inevitable. —Reuter.
