BILLS PASSED

YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS IN THE HOUSE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Bilk passed during the day in the House of Representatives yesterday were the Limitation Bill, the Capital Punishment Bill, the Government Railways Amendment Bill, the Death Duties Amendment Bill, the Waterfront Royal Commission Bill and the Annual Holidays Amendment Bill. Before the House rose Mio Prime Minister said that he would confer with the acting-Leader of the Opposition and arrange for a brief adjournment of Parliament as a compliment, to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, which is to begin its con- ( ference in Wellington next Friday. The adjournment will probably be arranged to coincide with the conference’s discussion on economic and international affairs. The House rose at 1.12 a.m. until 2.30 p.m. to-day.
