NEW HIGH COMMISSIONER (Rec. 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, Mar. 16. ’ The British High Commissioner for Germany, General Sir Brian Robertson, will leave Germany in June to become British Commander-in-Chief in the Middle East, the War Office announced to-day. 1 He will succeed General Sir John Crocker, .who will return to become Adjutant-General to the forces. The new High Commissioner in Germany will be Sir Ivone Kirkpatrick, at present Permanent Under-Secretary in Charge of the German section of the Foreign Office.
