ALLENTON CLUB

FOUR TEAMS TO BE ENTERED In recognition of liis valuable work for Allenton Football Club, Mr R. Lynn, Senr., was, at the annual meeting of the club last evening, elected the first life-member. There was an attendance of over 50 players and supporters, and with the club in a good financial position, everything augurs well for a successful season. During the evening reference to the death of a loyal supporter, Mr J. Bryant, Senr., was made, and all present stood in silence as a mark of respect. Officers for the season were elected as follows: —Patron, Mr W. J. Sparrow; president, Mr R. D. Smith; vicepresident, Mr N. R. Farrant; secretary, Mr L. Forbes; treasurer, Mr W. H. Sparrow; club captain, Mr E. Body; committee, Messrs R. Pye, T. Childs,, D. Gourdie, A. Solway, W. Johnston, J. Able, W. Tonks, C. Sparrow and'G. Sedgewick. Four teams will be entered in the local competitions.
