STEEL PRODUCTION
SHORTAGE OF COAL (Rec. 12.16 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The shortage of coal has forced the Australian Iron and Steel Company to cut the production of its Port Kembla steelworks by half to two-thirds. Unless the position improves, further cuts will be necessary.
