FORTNIGHTLY MEETING The usual fortnightly meeting of tire Star of Ashburton Lodge of Druids was presided over by A.D. Bro. J. Fifield. The attendance was the best for some years. Sick pay amounting to £3l was passed for payment. One new member was initiated by A.D. Bro. Fifield, the other .charges being delivered by P.A. Bro. Jorgensen, V.A.D. Bro. R. J. Renner, secretary Bro. I. M. Walker, I.G. Bro. M. Cunningham and Master of Ceremonies Bro. E. E. Beach. A report on the recent visit to the Success of Ashburton Lodge was given by Bro. Beach. The secretary reported that the financial membership stood at 260. It was decided to purchase a further eight indoor bowls and to bring the table tennis equipment up to standard. Bro. Vincent was thanked for his efforts in writing an article on Druidism. At a recent meeting of the Druids’ Royal Arch Chapter, Royal Arch Druid Bro. E. E. Beach conferred the following degrees: Bro. W. A. Childs, Past Arch Druid, Bro. I. M. Walker, Past Secretary.
