JAPANESE SHIPPING
REMOVAL OF CONTROLS (Ree. 10.0 a.m.) TOKIO, March 5. Japanese shipping, whioh is now under Government control, will revert to -private control -on April 1. Overseas ships will be opei’ated by Japanese companies under the authority of the Supreme Command outside Japanese territorial waters. The occupation or Government authorities will, from April 1, no longer exprcise the direction of domestic shipping. A spokesman said the action was in keeping with the Supreme Command s policy to return the responsibilities of both the occupation and Japanese Government to private enterprises, and the removal of all possible controls.
