The barometer is also again rising, and at 9 а. to-day it showed 29.56 inches, against 29.50 yesterday, and 29.24 on Saturday. Temperatures dropped sharply in the 24-hour period to 9 o’clock this morning, the maximum of 72.6 degrees comparing with 88.4 for Saturday, and the minimum of 51.4 Avith 55.6. Earth temperature this morning Avas 64.5, against 67.7 yesterday Avhen there Avere 11 hours of sunshine. OUTLOOK FAIR (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather:— General situation: A low pressure trough is moving across the North island and a series of depressions is pasisng south of New Zealand.
