DRUG FLOWN IN EMERGENCY (Rec. 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 9. Twenty-four hours after a SOS message reached New York a PanAmerican Airways clipper landed at the London airport with 50 capsules of the drug duomycin for Lady Portal, wife of Marshal of the Royal Air Force Lord Portal. She is dangerously ill in hospital with pneumonia. The drug is not yet released for general use, but is sometimes successful when other drugs have failed.
