PEASANTS TO CONFER

INVITATION FROM BURMA (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Thakin Chit Maung sat in his office in Rangoon, Burma, and addressed invitations to the peasants of Outer Mongolia, Siberia, Saudi-Arabia, Kirghizia, Uzbekiston, Viet Nam, Turkmenistan and many other lands with picturesque names. He also sent invitations to the Federated Farmers of New Zealand and the Graziers’ Federal Council of Australia so that they could be represented at an all-Asian peasants’ conference in Rangoon this month. The Dominion Council of Federated Farmers considered invitation-3 and sent a reply expressing thanks as well as regret because of the impossibility of attending, and best wishes for the success of the Assembly.
