ST. JAMES THEATRE With its love story set to the tempo of thundering hoof-beat® and flooded with the thrills and colour of the world’s greatest racing classics, “The Homestretch,” starring Cornel Wilde and Maureen O’Hara, opens to-morrow at the St. James Theatre. The film reveals the story of a boy and a girl whose conflicting personalities catapult them into a race across the world in search of the thrills of the turf which weld® their turbulent romance into a truly great love. In filming the picture, no expense was spared in capturing the drama and spectacle of the sport of kings against which the unusual romance is unfolded. Some of the greatest racing scenes ever recorded are included in the picture with the camera visiting eleven world-famous race tracks including Ascot in England, Palermo in South America, and Churchill Downs, Jamai ca„ Hollywood Park, Santa Anita, Belmont, Hialeah, Arlington and Saratoga in the United States. In addition, the Ascot Gold Cup, the Gran Premio Nacional, the Kentucky Derby and other racing classics highlight the picture’s absorbing and fast-moving action.
