GIRLS OF ASHBURTON HIGH SCHOOL A start was made yesterday afternoon with the annual athletic events by girls at the Ashburton High School. The weather was not very favourable, but marked keenness was shown by the competitors. Yesterday's results were: Senior Championship N. Walls (first long jump); G. Donaldson (second long jump, second cricket ball, second high jump); I. Barker (first long jump); M. Hill (first cricket ball, second high jump). Junior Championship—B.
