SHIPS FOR ITALY
AMERICAN GOOD WILL GESTURE (Rec. 12.5.) WASHINGTON, March 16. President Truman to-day ordered the transfer of 29 merchantmen to Italy as a gesture of American good will. Fifteen of the vessels are of the Liberty type and the remainder Italian ships seized during the Avar.
