ASHBURTON LADIES’ CLUB ELECTION OF OFFICERS The Ashburton Bodies’ Hockey Club last evening decided to open its season to-morrow, with practice matches at the Domain. The president (Mrs I. M. Chibnall) presided over a good attendance. A satisfactory position was shown by the financial statement. The election of officers resulted: President, Mrs Chibnall; vice-presidents, Messrs W. T. Corbett, H. E. Mallett, R. Bonnington, Mesdgmes B. Leahy, T. Ford; delegates to the Ashburton Hockey Association, Mesdames Chibnall and B. Silverwood; secretary, Mrs E. L. Mallett ; committee, Misses I). Johnson, B. Hansen, R. Borinington, Mesdames Silverwood and Mallett.
The election of a'captain and vicecaptain was held over until to-mor-row.
