FISHING LAUNCH MISSING

CAUGHT IN HEAVY SOUTHERLY (P.A.) GISBORNE, This Day. A Napier fishing launch Dawn, with a crew of three, has been missing since Tuesday morning. Dawn was last, seen at 9 a.m. on Tuesday when she was working in company with the Gisborne trawler Dorothy May, 15 miles off Tolaga. Bay, when a southerly blew up. Dorothy May sought shelter at Tolaga, and Dawn left for Gisborne. High seas were running at the time. The Gisborne launch arrived home yesterday afternoon, but the Napier iauneh was not sighted. Other inquiries have revealed no trace. The crew of the Napier launch comprised .Tames McKenzie (master), R. Wilkinson (engineer) and j. Picone (deckhand), all of Napier.
