AID FOR GREECE.
PROGRAMME APPROVED WASHINGTON, April IG. The House Foreign Affairs Committee unanimously approved of President Truman’s programme for Greece and Turkey. The House debate begins next week. During the Senate debate on the measure. Senator A. H. Vandenberg, replying to a question whether the measure involved possible war with Russia, said: “Our choice is a calcur lated risk. This Bill looks in the direction of peace.”
