OPENING OF SEASON DRAW FOR SATURDAY The Ashburton Basketball Association’s competitions will open oil Saturday. The draw is as follows: Senior A —2 p.m.: High O.G. v. Convent 0.G., ground 1 (Mrs Porter), 2.50 p.m.: Technical O.G. v. Methven, 1 (Mrs Holland); St. Stephen’s a bye. Senior B —2 p.m.: Farmers’ v. Baring Square, ground 2 (Methven referee). 2.50 p.m.: High O.G. v. Convent 0.G., 2 (Miss Barton). 2 p.m.: Rokeby v. High School, 3 (Mrs Holland). 2.50 p.m.: L.W.R. v. Technical 0.G.,. 3 (Mrs Hulme). 2 p.m.: Technical v. Alienton, 4 (Miss Grice). 2.50 p.m.: Lauriston v. Tekau,. 4 (Mrs O’Shea). Junior A —2 p.m.: Eiffelton. v. Technical, ground 5 (Mrs Maidens). 2.50 p.m.: Hinds v. Convent, 5 (Miss Ridley). 2 p.m.: Methven v. Tinwald, 6 (Mrs Wendelborn). 2.50 p.m.: Allen' ton v. High School, 6 (Mrs Wendelborn).
Junior B—2 p.m.: Methven v. High School 1, ground 7 (Miss Buchanan). 2.50 p.m.: Springburn v. High School 2, ground 7 (Miss Bishop). 2'p.m.: Technical 1 v. Technical 2, ground 8 (Miss McLennan). Baring Square a bye. Emergency referees are Mrs O. Husband find. Misses Cullen, White, and Tait. Referees will meet in the pavilion at 3.45 p.m.
