Categories particularly required are Writers, Stores Assistants, Stewards, Cooks, Wireless Operators, Teleprinter Operators, Signal ratings, Motor Drivers, hut all categories may apply. It may not be possible to employ selected applicants in the category held on discharge and re-entrants will he required, if necessary, to accept duty in any category for which suited. Engagements in the first place will he for one yeay. Conditions of service will be largely the same as during the war years. Pending the issue of revised pay rates (subject to taxation) for the Women’s Armed Services, the rates of pay previously in force (not subject to taxation) will be paid. The new rates will be ante-dated to Ist April, 1947. Applications should be addressed to Naval Secretary, Navy Office, Wellington, and should state how soon applicant can take up duty.
