'COUNT COMPLETED (P.A.) TIMARU, December 4. Though some soldiers’ votes have not yet been notified, the official count for the Timaru electorate was completed yesterday.. The result was: J. Acland (National) 6467 C. Carr (Labour) 6988 Majority for Carr 521 PALMERSTON NORTH SEAT .(P.A.) PALMERSTON N., Dec. 4. Official figures for the Palmerston North seat were announced after the counting of absentee, postal, and other outstanding votes. Thiey are: G. H. O. Wilson (Labour) .... 7219 A. E. Mansford (National) .... 6305 Majority for Wilson 914 The preliminary count gave Mr Wilson 6435 votes and Mr Mansford 5535, a majority of 800.

\ HAMILTON SEAT (P.A.) AUCKLAND, December 4. The official count of votes polled in the Hamilton electorate was completed to-night. The returning officer. Mr H. B. Reid, annofneed the- results as follows: • Mrs G. H. Ross (National) . . . 6752 J. Granville (Labour) 6419 Majority for Mrs Ross .... 333 The provisional count gave Mrs Ross 6113 votes and Mr Granville 5904, a majority of 209 . Additional votes were divided between the candidates as follows: Postal votes, Mrs Ross 219, Mr Granville 137; absentee votes, 424 and 376; declarations (civilian), nil and 3.
