AUSTRALIAN FLOUR

SUPPLIES BEFORE CHRISTMAS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Several hundred tons of Australian flour will arrive soon to help maintain supplies to New Zealand bakers. Special arrangements are being made to ensure that there is no shortage of flour, and consequently of bread, over the Christmas holiday period. Mr H. E. Fairey, president of the Wellington Master Bakers’ Association said that master bakers had met the shipping controller and the manager of the Wheat Committee, and ha‘d learned that unless there were further unforeseen hold-ups, supplies of flour would reasonably be assured. Several hundred tons of Australian flour would arrive about December 20.
