MEETING TO BE CALLED AT ASHBURTON EAST A suitable memorial to those who made the supreme sacrifice in World War II was discussed at the monthly meeting of the Hampstead Memorial Hall Society last evening. The president (Mr J. Hitchins) presided. It was decided to call a public meeting early inJFebruary to go into the matter; It was reported that Mr A. Hardy, one of the trustees, was on the sick list, and it was decided to write wishing him a speedy recovery. The Ashburton Free* Kindergarten Association was granted thq halfc for next year. Miss M. Melville applied for the use of the hall every Saturday from February, 1947, as a dancing school. The application was granted. It was decided to ask the Ashburton East School Committee to appoint its three representatives to the committee.
