HITLER SUFFERING.
EISENHOWER’S VIEWPOINT (Rec. 2.5 p.m.) LONDON, June 11. In his press interview General Eisenhower said: “‘ls Hitler dead’?” is a question being asked throughout Europe. I have no knowledge whether he is or is not. He is certainly suffering, for no man who exercised the power he had could stand being hunted for his life.”
Paying tribute to the manner in which the British people were so good humoured and hospitable to the Americans General Eisenhower declared that they had done more in the way of making a better understanding between the British and American people than anything else. The Russians were vei’y friendly and he was convinced they wanted peace and a chance to develop themselves. “Our contacts with the Russians to-day are heart warming,” said General Eisenhower.
The general concluded by anomieing that he was going to America, next Saturday.
