HITLER’S NEW CORPS.

LAST-DITCH DEFENDERS. TO*DESTROY ALLIED TANKS. (Rec. 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, April 11. Hitler lias ordered the formation of a new corps of last-ditch defenders “to attack and destroy” Allied tank spearheads advancing against Berlin, say Agency correspondents at Lieuten-ant-General Sir Miles Dempsey’s headquarters. The corps will be known as the Adolf Hitler Volunteer Corps. Members will “carry out demolitions and beat the enemy wherever lie is met.” The strength of the corps will be limited. Each rural district will submit the names of four or five volunteers who will be issued with small arms and bicycles.
