HARMONICA DANCE.

The last boat of the waltzing competition was tho major feature of interest at the Ashburton Imperial Harmonica Band’s dance at the Orange Hall last night. Forty couples took part, the winners being Mrs Dobson and Mr Kelliher, Mr and Mrs Brown, Miss Beech and Mr Quartermain, Miss Hansen and Mr Watson, Miss Lamb and Mr Robinson, Miss Haaelc and Mr Cody, Miss Waters and Mr Simpson. Tlio judge was Mrs O. (!. Vial. Monte Carlos were won by Mrs S. Wilson and Mr J. Busliell, and Mrs Forsyth and Mr Walls. The holders of lucky tickets were Miss Franky and Miss Pile. Miss Collins and Mr Dwyer won tho lucky spot event. Music was supplied by the Air Force Dance Band and supper extras by the Harmonica Dance Band. Mr S. Wilson was master of ceremonies.
