ESTIMATED AREAS OF SOWINGS. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 26. The estimated areas of wheat, oats, barley, and potatoes for the 1942-43 season are published in the Gazette to-night. The total acreages sown last yeat were:—Wheat, 260,603; oats, 282,408; barley, 44,431. The estimated acreages for this year are: Wheat, 288,000; oats, 234,000; barley, 36,400. The total area planted in potatoes last season was 15,201 acres, and the estimated planting this year will be 21,500' acres.
