TEMPERANCE UNION.

NEW OFFICERS AT TINWALD. The annual meeting of the Tinwald Women’s Christian Temperance Union was held in the Methodist Church yesterday afternoon. Mrs Mcllroy presided over a fair attendance. The reports showed progress in every branch of activity. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mrs Mcllroy ; secretary, Mrs J. Oakley; treasurer, Mrs Harkness ; White Ribbon agent, Mrs Wakein; Maori Day, Mrs Brown; Sailors’ Day, Mrs Luxton; Cradle Roll superintendents, Mrs Harkness and Mrs Luxton; Flower-Mission, Mrs Jennings; vicepresidents, Mesdames Brown, Hopwood and Jennings. j Mrs Mcllroy was presented with a bouquet in appreciation of her work as president.
