KATAN AND BLOMFIELD DRAW. AUCKLAND, July 29. John Katan, of Canada, retained his title of heavy-weight wrestling champion of the British Empire by drawing with Sergeant-Major “Lofty” Blom-
fied, of Auckland, in a. match at the Town Hall. Each man obtained a fall. The Town Hall was crowded. The spectators were almost continuously on their feet. There was _ almost deafening applause and cheering when Blomfied obtained the first fall in th'e third round. In the sixth round Ivatan weakened his opponent, and then applied a toehold which enabled him to even the falls.
