GEORGE FORMBY.
“TROUBLE BREWING”—H IS BEST YET. No lavishly mounted classical subject, but a simple story, simply told, has given George Formy a suitable vehicle for bis particular brand of humour in each of bis screen productions to date. His cheerful smile, undaunted by the troubles that besot him,* has become as characteristic as the series of slapstick incidents that are part and parcel of every Formb.v film. Audiences sit back comfortably in their chairs, awaiting each antic with a laugh ready to burst forth, secure in the knowledge that when they are watching George lormby, they are certain'to be entertained. “Trouble Brewing” is one best yet of Formby’s, in his well-known style of smart gags and broad farce, with the famous banjo well to the fore accompanying new comic songs. He wins a broadside of hearty laughter all along the wav.
