AUSTRALIAN IRON.

THE NEEDS OF JAPAN. ENTERPRISES TO PROCEED. TOKIO, November 19. In spite of the discovery of other sources of supply the Japanese exploitation of the Yampi Sound, Western Australia, iron ore field, will proceed. Japan Mining Company officials said to-day that their Yampi Sound enterprise would not be affected by the new Manchukuo undertaking because the latter would take several years to produce ore; nof u r ou!d it be affected by the removal of their parent corporation, the Nippon industry Company, to Manchukuo, the industrialisation of which it will undertake, nor by the anti-Japanese agitation in Australia. On the contrary, the company had received letters from people in Western Australia urging the expansion of the enterprise by the building of railways and reclaiming of land. They do not expect Yampi Sound to produce ore for a year, owing to delays in getting machinery.
