Art treasures valued at 25,000 dollars, once belonging to the Russian Imperial family, have been stolen from the {Schaffer Galleries, Rockefeller centre. The thieves drove up at 5.30 a.m. and daringly hurled a brick through a plate-gla-ss door. They seized about 150 objects before they were scared away by a passer-by. The loot included a gold- and silvermounted Bible once owned by Nicholas 11, a pair of gold and silver champagne coolers once owned by Alexander 11. However, they overlooked eight-carat gold' samovar weighing 541 b and worth 25,000 dollars, formerly owned by Alexander 11.
