Ten million cyclists throughout the country are affected by the recommendations of the Traffic Advisory Committee, which the Minister of Transport (Dr. E. L. Burgin) is considering. The recommendations include a minimum age limit for cyclists, registration of bicycles, compulsory use of cycling tracks on main roads, and'third-party insurance. Pedal cycles were involved in over 61,000 accidents last year.
