BENEFIT BY FRAUD.
RESTITUTION ORDERED. GREYMOUTH, November 29. At the Magistrate’s Court William McNeill was fined £1 and ordered to make restitution of £l2 8s sd, excess received from the Employment Promotion Fund by means of false declarations regarding a dependent.
Tho defendant declared that he was maintaining a daughter, who was working elsewhere for £1 a woek.
