INTOXICATED IN CAR.

FINE OF £25 IMPOSED. (Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, This Day. Thomas William Sheahon, a motor mechanic, was fined £25 by Mr Salmon, S.M., for being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car. A pedestrian was struck and injured by defendant’s car, but not seriously. The Magistrate said it was a case of •whether or not he should impose imprisonment, but on account of accused’s previous good character he refrained from doing so.
