THE ASHBURTON RACES. THE! CONCLUDING RESULTS. T*he Ashburton County Racing Club’s summer meeting on Saturday was a success in every way. The weather was all that could be desired, and there was a very satisfactory attendance. The arrangements made by the Club were excellent, and'' the whole programme went through without a hitch. The totalisator handled £13,761, against £1J.,530 last year. Following are the results after the “Guardian” went to press:— HIGHWEIGHT HACK HANDICAP, Of £130; second horse £ls and third horse £lO from the stake. One Mile. 1 (3) —Mr B. I. The totalisator handled £27,759 10s against £30,664 last year, making a total for the meeting of £44,202, compared with £47,270 10s last year. There was a large attendance and the track was in excellent order. The totalisator handled £43,957, compared with £31,351 last year. Norton’s Stalin (Chief Ruler —Rosellate) and Cliquot (Heroic —Lady Everton), with Don Caesar third. Following his recent successes Forestage won the Campsie Handicap from Heracles and Minnesota, THE MOONEE VALLEY RACES. MELBOURNE, November 27. At the Moonee Valley meeting today the Benefit Purse, a mile and a quarter, was won by W. R. Kemball’s Royal Quex (Lord Quex —Lilock) from Gay Brocade and Moraemount. There were 14 starters, and Royal Quex won by a length in 2.5 L Sir Simper finished second in the Fund Handicap, one mile and a quarter, which was won by Dunloe. The Juvenile Handicap was won by S. Green’s cqlt Brethren (Verbius — Filial) in course record, time for five furlongs, lmin lsec. Namakia and Riddle finished second and third respectively in the Benevolent High-weight Handicap won by Sarokos.
